After five providers in five years, an NHL team got a dedicated service model — identical VIP aircraft, one crew, one concierge — without the cost of ownership.
Challenge
An NHL team had chartered with five different providers over as many years, forced annually to reinvent the wheel with new crews, dispatchers and airport staff. Before chartering, the team had used a dedicated aircraft — at huge cost. With minimal flight hours, the aircraft often sat unused, creating endless mechanical issues with no backup available. A larger shared fleet hadn't worked either: a coach-configured aircraft frequently showed up unannounced when a VIP configuration was part of the agreement.
In short, the team needed a dedicated service model without the exorbitant price tag.
Solution
PJS identified several areas where the team could improve its aviation experience: bulk purchasing power, dedicated in-flight service, a VIP aircraft guarantee, and a contingency fleet.
Result
PJS provided charter access to a fleet of identical aircraft dedicated to its professional sports clients, all in the same VIP configuration — eliminating the risk of coach seating. A dedicated crew and Flight Concierge guaranteed consistent service; every member of the team, coaches and management included, had their favorite drink and snack waiting at their seat before boarding. Identical contingency aircraft stood ready in case of mechanical issues, while the team's annual travel overhead dropped substantially.
